The Faculty of Medicine from University of Tsukuba, in cooperation with Biotechnology Center of HCMC, is going to organize the “Workshop on Infection Diagnosis 8.2018” in Ho Chi Minh City. Purpose of this course is to give practical training for biomedical research students and young scientist of Vietnam and Japan. The course will be conducted in English.

 Workshop on Infection Diagnosis 8.2018: Current trends in antimicrobial resistance and methods to detect multidrug-resistant bacteria
o    Date:        August 27 – 30, 2018 (9AM – 5PM).
o    Place:       Biotechnology Center of HCMC (http://www.hcmbiotech.com.vn).
o    Class size:            25 participants.
o    Fee (for reagents and supplies): 1,000,000 VND (Vietnam Dong one million).
* Fee is waived for Vietnamese students with full-time undergraduate or graduate student status. You must submit a copy of your current transcript from your institution along with your application form to be eligible for fee waiver.
o    Description: In this workshop, participants will approach the emerging topic of infection “Current trends in antimicrobial resistance” and will learn and practice at the laboratory the methods to detect multidrug-resistant bacteria (MDRB). Throughout the workshop participants will have the opportunities to share and discuss the experiences in the field and solutions to treat MDRB.
o    Application Deadline: July 15, 2018.
o    Qualified applicants will be notified by July 25, 2018.
o    Lunch will not be provided. You may purchase at canteen at Biotechnology Center HCMC or bring your own.
